Outbound Programs

Experience the world through study abroad

What is outbound exchange?

Our outbound programs give American students the opportunity to immerse themselves in another language and culture. Travel to a new country and stay with a host family for an authentic cultural exchange.

We work with individual students (elementary through high school age) as well as K-12 schools and groups to coordinate memorable international experiences.

Build your confidence

Practice speaking a second language in a real-life context while still having bilingual support.

Broaden your horizons

Create life-long international connections while you get an up-close and personal perspective of a foreign culture.

Share your passion

Show your host families that Americans care about building international relationships and are passionate about their communities.

Common questions

Outbound students stay with host families who undergo the same rigorous screening process as our US host families. All trips include chaperones from the US and the host country. Our students have 24/7 support.

Students and host families have 24/7 access to NISE emergency support. NISE provides both travel and medical insurance for all students.

To show our appreciation, NISE host families receive a discount for their children on our outbound programs.
